Can you guess what it is?
That's right. Fishing.
Hubby has been taking a hunter education course lately, and has decided that we should start fishing as well.
Both of us grew up going fishing with our respective Grandmothers, and neither of us had been since we were about 7 or 8. So it's kind of a new experience for us as well. Or a re-learning experience. :)
So far, we've been fishing twice and caught one fish. We don't mind though, it's so relaxing to be out by the lake, just enjoying nature. The kids love it too!
What kid wouldn't love running around in the grass, chasing crickets and throwing rocks and sticks in the water? (This may or may not be the reason we've only caught one fish so far..)
There are some really cool old trees there too, that are fun to climb on.
And the scenery is just gorgeous.
It's hard to believe we are still surrounded by the city- you'd never know it.
We are looking forward to going camping this fall, and bringing our fishing gear along with us. It will be so much fun!
Fishing sure is peaceful. I went along the first time just to take pictures, and ended up enjoying myself thoroughly! In fact, I liked it so much that we went and got me a fishing license so that I can fish too. :)
