Guess what??
I almost made it this week. That's right- I made it through the week with only one thing going bad.
And really, it's just sat too long in the fridge to eat. Which still makes it bad, I guess.
Remember that okra I told you all about last week? We didn't end up eating all of the leftovers, and it looks kind of weird now. So I'm going to throw it out. But that is it! ( Sorry, I didn't take a picture because my camera batteries are dead and I need to buy new ones.)
I'm so excited- this is the least food waste we've had since I was inspired by the Frugal Girl to begin doing Food Waste Friday along with others interested in reducing their food waste (and saving money!) a couple months ago.
Woo Hoo!!
So that my post today isn't absurdly short, here's what we've been up to this week, besides going fishing;
The kids love playing on the slip n slide- this happens almost every day. |
They also figured out that it's really fun to "go camping" underneath our table made from a pallet |
I made this purse, using this tutorial I found on Pinterest |
I also whipped up this hat from an old sweater that sadly, got all stained up. Now, for colder weather!! |
How did you do this week on your food waste? Hopefully next week I'll have none at all!

Awesome job! I love checking in with your blog too. GREAT hat.
Thanks! I can't wait to wear it.
Great week!
Wow - you are crafty! Love the purse and I just might have to go check that out. Your kiddos are so stinkin' cute. I have a 2 year old (almost 3) girl and 7 year old boy. I can totally see them "camping" like that.
