Its so sweet to see one's children grow.
I love to watch them discover and learn and mature, and see how they change as they get bigger.
I loved having them be babies but honestly; I'm really loving how they are now and how much they can do themselves and I love listening to the funny things they say as a two and a four-year old.
Yesterday, hubby had the day off and we took a trip over to the Woodland Discovery playground at Shelby Farms and had fun playing on the toys there. It had rained earlier in the day, and everything was wet and cold, and we were the only ones there.
It was so much fun!
The kids played on the slide a bit; promptly getting their behinds all soaking wet. We built a sand castle in the huge sandpit. It was really more like a small mound of sand, since we didn't have enough wet sand to really build a castle. Ethan had fun jumping on it and smashing it to the ground.
Then we went over to the giant climbing net and had fun scaling the big red spiderweb-like net.
Finally, we hit up the swings, and the kids climbed into their favorite: the basket swing.
We didn't stay too long, because it was cold out, but we had a great refreshing time that made us appreciate the nice warm house that we came home to. :)
Here are some pictures of them about a year ago, playing at the park right after it opened:
Here are some picture from yesterday:
Its so cool to see how they've grown. :)
I also love that Tim is wearing the same flannel shirt in both pictures. It's his favorite.
That's all, I just wanted to share those sweet pictures with you!
Hope you have a fantastic day.
